Dating back 2,250 years ago, the Dead Sea Scrolls are a collection of
manuscripts from the Bible. It includes pieces from all books of the Hebrew
Bible except Esther. The Dead Sea Scrolls are over 1,000 older than any other
know copies of the Bible.
This exhibit is the biggest Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit to ever
come to Texas with 12 pieces of the Dead Sea Scrolls being viewed publicly for
the very first time. This is unique, once in a lifetime opportunity to see such
an amazing part of history. This exhibit will have portions of the books
Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Deuteronomy, Psalms, Isaiah, and Daniel. In
addition, there will also be other interesting artifacts from the time like
coins, blown glass jars, Jewish ossuaries, and more!
The exhibit is open from
10am until 8 pm Monday thru Saturday and from 1pm until 7pm on Sundays. Adult
admission is only $25, students are $15, seniors are $18, and children are $9.
